Hi, I’m Samantha, co-owner of The Honey Lounge, a cozy, well-lit studio, located in Sola Salon Suites, downtown Royal Oak, Michigan! In my chair, you’ll find a non-judgmental, welcoming space where you’ll finally feel seen as a person, not just “another client.” I have 15+ years experience and a deep dedication to my craft and have taken the time to truly hone my skills in cutting, coloring and communication. So, you can relax while I, personally, take care of you, every step of the way! I specialize in creative and precision haircutting, utilizing both my razor and scissors to get all those little details just right. My true passion though? Sculpting the perfect fringe, tousled bobs, and the modern shag. I’m comfortable with all hair types and will gladly share my tricks so you can maintain your style easily at home too! When it comes to color, I love working with my guests personal color pallet to give the most beautiful glow. My style is dimensional, low-maintenance, lived-in looks, but I also love creative placement with pops of color. I will always keep the health of your hair & scalp a priority…our hair really does look best when treated right! Whether your dream color is "creamy, bright blonde", "expensive, chocolatey brunette", or “the perfect rose tone", I’m your girl. Collaboration is something I truly cherish. It allows me to merge my artistic intuition with guest’s inspiration, resulting in unique, personalized looks that reflect your vibe, lifestyle, hair type, and budget. I draw inspiration from nature, 70's fashion, and effortless, French beauty. I’m also very passionate about using products that are minimally toxic. Continuing education is essential to me, and I invest in myself by attending technical classes & workshops to stay inspired and keep my skills sharp. I’ve received numerous certifications from highly respected brands like, Kevin Murphy, Davines, L’Oréal, Redken & Pony Education, to name a few, even a few sanitization certifications! I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and have had the opportunity to teach at several local salons, work as a mentor developing new stylists and have been included in many different professional hair & fashion events. Outside of the salon, I love spending time with my husband, Mike, our daughter, Margot, and our 90lb hound dog - Hoagie. I work full time and am a stay-at-home mom… who knew you could do both! You’ll find me cooking nourishing meals, digging in the garden, rollerskating, meandering around local artist markets or record shops or tackling a home project DIY. Cancellation Policy

ARRIVING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT The Honey Lounge is located inside of Sola Studios, if you enter the back door, we are first studio on the left. Please arrive 5 minutes early to accommodate parking. There is a free parking lot and structure, anything labeled “ICON” is not available. RESERVATION DEPOSITS All reservations are very important, your time is valued as well as your stylists. A non-refundable deposit is required for all reservations made. Deposits must be paid at least ONE WEEK prior to scheduled appointment - failure to paid could result in cancelation of appointment. Life can be unexpected at times, so please provide a minimum of 48hr notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations, less than 48 notice, will result in loss of deposit. No shows will incur a $100 charge to card on file, along with loss of deposit. Accommodations are happily made and the more notice given, the better you can be assisted. Enforcing this policy ensures waitlisted guests can be given proper notice of an opening and your stylist maintains a manageable schedule. Thank you so much for understand & support! RESERVATION CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS A minimum of 48hr notice is required for changing or canceling your appointment. A cancellation made within this timeframe will forgo deposit and incur a charge of 50% of total appointment cost and forgo deposit. In the case of an emergent cancellation from your stylist, efforts will be made to accommodate you at the earliest convenience! Please contact Samantha directly 248-807-1068 with any questions. RUNNING LATE There is a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. I ask you notify me via text 248-807-1068 if you anticipate being late so I can make any necessary accommodations. Arriving late without any prior notice may be considered a no-show, in which my cancellation policy may apply. Running late will affect what services your artist can perform due to time restraints. If you’re over 15 minutes late (with failure to notify) you will be considered a no show in which my cancellation policy will take effect. COLOR USAGE FEE Color is measured by the gram. This allows me to track your formula and charge for only the exact amount of color I use during your service, any over mixing will not be charged to guest.
